A warm welcome to students from Canada
The °®ÍþÄÌapp of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is a global leader in public health and infectious disease research. With students from over 190 countries, we are proud to have a vibrant community of Canadian students who contribute to our academic excellence and global perspective. This page provides specific information for applicants from Canada, including entry requirements, popular programmes, and support available to help you thrive at LSHTM.
LSHTM works closely with Canadian institutions to address key health challenges through education and research. Canadian students at LSHTM can apply for funding opportunities like the Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund and awards from the London Goodenough Association of Canada, both aimed at supporting graduate studies in the UK.
On the research front, LSHTM collaborates with Canadian universities on projects with real-world impact. For example, in partnership with the University of Waterloo, the CANVAS project explores how social norms affect health and education outcomes. Through the MCC Collaborative Network, researchers at LSHTM and in Canada jointly examine global environmental health risks, providing evidence to inform public policy.
These partnerships reflect our shared commitment to improving public health in Canada and beyond. We welcome Canadian students to join LSHTM’s global community and contribute to shaping the future of public health.
