As part of the celebrations to mark 25 years of service, the Uganda Revenue Authority has today recognized the MRC/UVRI Uganda Research Unit as on of the country's top 50 taxpayers in the Medium Tax Office.
The Unit was recognized for its efficient submission of the pay as you earn (PAYE) tax. A pay-as-you-earn tax (PAYE) is a withholding tax on income payments to employees.
Receiving the Award on behalf of the Unit, Ms. Monica Badaru the Unit Finance Manager appreciated URA for the recognition and pledged the Unit's commitment to being a good corporate citizen. "As a Unit, we are honored that URA has recognized our humble contribution to the country's tax base. This recognition is important to us and we will ensure that we retain our position among the top 50 PAYE tax payers".
