Clare is the Course Director of the LSHTM Professional Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTM&H). During her training, she gained clinical experience in India, Myanmar, Sierra Leone, Malawi and Peru, before qualifying as a consultant physician in Tropical Medicine (TM) /Infectious Diseases (ID) and General Medicine. She works as a TM/ID consultant at the Imported Fever Service, part of the UKHSA Rare and Imported Pathogens Laboratory, Porton Down. She works clinically on the wards and in outpatients as a consultant at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, University College London Hospitals, where she is also the training lead in ID. She became the National training lead in tropical medicine in 2023.
