Ms Thirapa Nivesvivat

Research Student - MPhil/PhD - Epidemiology & Population Health

I am a research degree student interested in the natural history of tuberculosis in children, particularly the progression and regression of disease states. I have been practicing as a paediatric infectious disease specialist at Phramongkutklao Hospital in Thailand and completed my MSc in Epidemiology at the °®ÍþÄÌapp of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. My studies are supported by a scholarship from the Thai government.

Research

I am interested in the natural history of tuberculosis in children, with a particular focus on estimating the burden of asymptomatic and symptomatic disease. My goal is to better understand how to address this burden effectively and ultimately improve the identification and management of TB-related morbidity in children.
