I am an epidemiologist interested in combining observational and interventional research to reduce global inequities in women's health. As a Research Fellow in the Clinical Trials Unit at LSHTM, I primarily undertake explanatory and exploratory analyses of the WOMAN-2 trial. WOMAN-2 was an international clinical trial that investigated the effect of tranexamic acid on prevention of postpartum haemorrhage in women with anaemia. I also provide epidemiological expertise for ongoing WOMAN trials and support the development of grant proposals for future trials.

In my previous Research Fellow role in the Department of Non-Communicable Disease Epidemiology (LSHTM), I led observational and interventional research studies aimed at reducing the risk of metabolic diseases in later life in low-resource settings. This included the evaluation of a cluster-randomised trial to improve screening, diagnosis, and management of gestational diabetes in India and Uganda, the fourth follow-up of a prospective, intergenerational, community-based cohort in rural India (APCAPS) to explore the causes and consequences of multimorbidity, and a cluster-randomised trial to evaluate a financial incentive scheme to increase fruit and vegetable purchasing in rural India.

I completed a PhD in the Department of Population Health of LSHTM in 2020 (funded by the Economic and Social Research Council). Before this, I completed the Demography and Health MSc at LSHTM, and the Biomedical Science BSc at King's College London.
