I joined LSHTM in 2007. My training is in health economics and public health. Previously I worked at Oxford in the Department of Public Health and York Health Economics Consortium. I have specific expertise in modelling and economic evaluation.

Teaching
I am a tutor for the MSc in public health and teach on the economic evaluation module

I'm currently supervising four PhD/MD students on the following topics:

Health Related Quality of iife and economic impact of return to work after Breast cancer in Malaysia
Economic evaluation of surgical prevention options for Breast and Ovarian cancer
Evaluation of direct to patient genetic testing
HRQOL and cost-effectivenes of prevenative surgery for endometrial cancer

Research
My main research interests relate to conducting economic evaluations in both developed and developing country settings.

My current research projects include:

Health economics alongside a trial of population genetic testing for breast,womb, ovarian and colorectal cancer sponsored by Yorkshire Cancer Research.

Economic evaluation of school based intervention to improve mantal health in schools sponsored by NIHR.

Health Economics lead on CBIG-SCREEN - An EU sponsored project to increase cervical cancer screening in vulnerable women

Economic evaluation of a peer support intervention for homeless people funded by NIHR

The Economics of genetic testing all breast cancer patients in China sponsored by the Royal Society
