Abel is a Research Assistant working on a Wellcome Trust funded project: Creating Evidence to Support Tuberculosis (TB) National and Global Decision-Makers in Reducing the Global Burden of TB. His background is in social science (BSc Social Sciences with Data Science, University College London) and global health (MSc Modelling for Global Health, University of Oxford). Abel's focus is on drug-resistant TB, using data science and mathematical modelling methods to quantify differences in burdens across age and sex in India, Indonesia, Brazil and South Africa.
