I am a Research Fellow in Public Health with a mixed methods research background.

I recently completed working on the evaluation of planning policy to regulate takeaway food outlets for improved health in England in collaboration with the University of Cambridge. I worked on the qualitative components of this project, where I explored the implementation and acceptability of this intervention from the perspectives of local authority officials and members of the public.  In collaboration with local authority planners and public health officers, I also produced guidance on how to adopt and implement the policy effectively. 

I am currently working on the 'SALIENT' consortium project, which comprises of the evaluation of a combination of food system interventions designed to improve health and sustainability.  The interventions are currently being tested in real-world settings such as food banks and community food shops.  I am conducting qualitative process evaluations of the interventions, aiming to understand implementation, the underlying mechansims behind behaviour change and contexts in which change occur.  I am currently supporting other researchers with data collection, analysis and dissemination. 

I completed my PhD at University College London which focused on health promotion in people with severe mental illnesses, tying together my interests and experience in both mental health and health psychology. I also hold a Masters in Psychiatric Research and a Bachelors degree in Psychology.
