I am an ophthalmologist and clinical research fellow based at the International Centre for Eye Health at the °®ÍþÄÌapp of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
My research interests are in blindness prevention and the application of new technologies to improve health care.
I am currently undertaking a PhD looking at implementing and evaluating an artificial intelligence system to screen for diabetic retinopathy in Tanzania.
My clinical ophthalmology training has been in London and my most recent appointment was at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Prior to starting my clinical ophthalmology training in the UK, I was based in Tanzania from 2014-2016.
